Some strange things are happening to my Internet Explorer 8 after getting a virus (lib.dll), so I'll give all the details of my situation to see if there are still problems.
Somehow I got this lib.dll virus which was called Trojan.Win32.ExeDot.csx last week (May 28) and my Bell Internet Security deleted it. I had no problems except when I closed Internet Explorer the iexplore.exe processes were still running and there was some lag. The virus came back this morning and this time it wouldn't get deleted until I killed the iexplore.exe processes (2 of them), then I had to manually delete it in the folder C:\PROGRAM FILES\SHARED\
After deleting the virus I installed Malwarebytes and ran a quick scan which found a few bad things (log at the end of post). After I restarted my computer everything seemed to work fine (no lag, iexplore.exe processes ended after I closed Internet Explorer) until I turned off my computer and turned it back on an hour later. Now the lag is back, opening tabs makes my computer freeze, etc.
Another odd thing is when my security software detected the virus, it listed lib.dll in the anti-virus log, but for some reason after turning on my computer it disappeared from the log as if it was never there (weird).
After that I downloaded HiJackThis and created a log. I'm not sure what to do from here because I never had a virus this bad. Hopefully someone can help me out.
