Virus Double-Check

I just ran a scan and found out that I may have had a Trojan Horse Virus. It says that it was removed, but is there anything else I should do about it? I don't know when it was from, but since I frequently run scans, most likely from less than a week ago.

what program did you use to remove it? you should run malwarebytes (unless you used it already) and see if anything comes up.

I used AVG free, but I don't want to install anything else to avoid using system resources. Are there any programs that will only run scans when you want them too, and not run in the background that I could use to double-check?

Okay, I finished running a Malwarebytes scan and it came out clean, so it makes me feel better that now I'm 99% sure I don't have a virus than the 90% sure I was before.:)

Maybe if I want to be really sure, but I think that I don't have anything.

I'm just letting you hijackthis might show some hidden infections and security vulnerabilities. You may have outdated sofware that may be allowing nasties into your system. If I were you I would want the piece of mind that my system is up to date. Hijackthis gives us a lot of information about whats on your system.
