Virus Help! =/

Well where to start... ok so im downloading a file from limewire... and well i go to bed... When i wake up the next morning my computer has blue screened... It says a error has occured... and somehting about my bio memory and then dumping of physical memory... and then it says i need to remove any new added hardware or software to get rid of the problem... (so im like DAMN!) Well i restart my computer... my holding down the power button... Well when it starts to come back up nothing seems bad i have windows xp home and it comes to my account sign in... well everything is normal so i put my password in... and it takes like FIVE minutes to bring up my freakin desktop... and well the things that are different is... i have three new icons... and my background has changed to one with a list of how to activate my desktop¿? and a list of ways how... Well the three new icons were tagaware,alpha cleaner, and (it looked like a knights head,) sergeant boot or something like that... well my ctrl+alt+dlt won't work because it was apparently locked by the administrator (me...?) Well the wierd thing is my like screen kept on refreshing(ahhh) and it have to load my desktop again and icons at the bottom. Well i think i got rid of the three programs... buy going into my computer and gettin them out (took about an hour because of the refreshing!) I also delted the file i think gave it to me... But the background is still the same and my comp runs slow as shit...

any advice would be helpful....:confused:
 
if i was you id get a free anti virus from the top of the page. also post a hijack log i cant read them but others can

The thing is... i don't think it will let me bring up my internet explorer =/ could i download this to a disk then put in comp?

yes...also for christs sake..dont ever download things on the net without a well updated anti-virus and a good firewall.
Anyways, post the HJT this, and lets have a look as to whats cooking.
 
Ok... well this is what happened... i put the adware se and spybot and my computer... and then i ran adware se and it came up with 210 finds well i deleted those and then i was like hmmm... my comp was still running and slow... so i try to run spybot but it says i have to get the updates to run... so i try to get online but it is taking a long time... idk why but i cant even pull up internet explorer becasue it pulls up a blue screen window and shows me my ip address and says that all sites i have visted are being detected or something like that... well i then the most annoying thing happens! my desktop starts effeing up again... its got to be a virus or something because the backgroup of my desktop keeps gettin replaced by one that says "restore active desktop" and a button below it for me to click... then below that it tells me other ways to restore it... so i say DAMN and turn off my comp and go to bed... any suggestions? i cant get to a website... but i think i can get the updates for spybot if i remain patient
 
ok i have run adware se and spybot destroyer (forget the name) but... there is something wrong with my internet... im not sure what it is but everytime i run adware se... it always stops working when it comes to the program software\micrsoft\internet explorer i have no idea what this means... but imma try to highjackthis tonight... but if you know what that means... about the software\microsoft\internet explorer plz reply...
