 well... long story short, bad click here, download there, and my computer just hit the dirt, luckly its not so bad that i cant even acess the interent ( im on the computer right now)
iv ran adaware, and it has found like 60 critical objects, and when i want to remove them, it pops up and says it cant.
then i try norton
when i start the scan, for the past 10 minutes its still has been on the first file, like in 10 seconds it should already be on the 300th or something file when its scanning

so im contomplating of just whipping my C drive clean. i already have alot of junk i dont use also, games, random hidden folders, ext.

i dont have any backupdisks, and i hope i dont need a windows XP software to do so

right when i restart the computer, do i go into the ?bios? and " clear c drive " ( i doubt theres an option to make it that easy)

ALL HELP IS NEEDED!!!!

if any of you have AIM screen names, and u want to do an ultaVNC type thing with me

my aim instant messager name is TheMarsVolta55

thanks

It doesn't sound so much like a virus as it does a ton of new startups created by the adware. You can first try reducing the list of programs that start along with Windows with the msconfig utility. Once you are down to the basic OS you can try other removers like Spybot Search + Destroy along with the AVG 7.1 Free edition that often locates trojans as well as viruses. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 On many occasions it is not even any type of virus, malware, or adware. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/IEtopten.mspx

spy sweeper, ad aware, spybot, all good apps just make sure u do it in safe mode

To run even install many of those Norton would have to first be disabled since that would interfere. Occasionally the same can be said for AVG and other antivirus utilities. You first have to be able to install them on the system in order to run them in safe mode. This is why the reduction of all current non essential startups should be disabled. With 60 adbots being found it does suggest a trojan downloader has created newer ones.
