For the last few months I've been travelling and using my Ipod as a hard disk to store photos from my Camera. Anyway getting home yesterday I tried to open up these photos but when I click on Ipod (E File on 'My computer' it comes up with a message saying - 'windows cannot find copy.exe etc' and won't let me open up the file.

I decided to Scan it with a virus scan and it came up....

Virus identified - Worm/Generic.BHO

E:sqlserv.VIR

Anyone know how I fix this as the 3 or so thousand photos on my Ipod mean a lot to me.

You should be able to right click on your iPod and pick open. Open a command prompt (start->run->cmd) and type E:\autorun.inf, when notepad opens does it say something about copy.exe? If so, deleting it should fix the problem but get a good antivirus program and scan everything and backup your pictures somewhere.

Excellent thanks. I right clicked and managed to open it that way but now its open im having another problem...

I tried to copy some of the pictures from my Ipod on to my Computer and only a couple copied the rest coming up with a message saying somehting like..

'Cannot copy Image_2873 the Parameter is Incorrect'

Any clue whats going on?
Thanks

It's only some of the pictures? Usually it means there's an illegal character in the filename but the name 'Image_2873' is ok. The ones you can't get might be corrupted or they might be too big, XP will throw a USBD_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER error if it's too big. I don't think they are too big though, I've transfered files that are bigger than your individual pictures over USB
