virus? or do i suck?

What stuff are you talking about? If you need any important data, you can copy it to another drive or cd and then reinstall windows and put it back on.
 
I mean the stuff on my desktop.

Im not very good with computers and im pretty sure I dont have my windows disks. Is there any other way to do this?
 
Ok system restore blue screened 3 times but I finally got it to work. I got my stuff back.

But how do I go about reinstalling windows.
 
If this is a store bought computer, they usually have a recovery partition that you boot into and it reinstalls windows. However, sometimes you need a recovery cd in addition to the recovery partition. If this is a custom built pc then find someone who has the same operating system you do and use their cd to install but use YOUR cd key.
 
A recovery cd will reinstall all apps and drivers like when you first got your computer. If its a custom built computer, you will need to reinstall all drivers that windows won't install automatically.
