Depending whether or not its free, i would recommend Norton internet Security, cos it comes with antivirus software, it updates it's database everyday unlike others that do it monthly.

Avast!

Guys I have used many antivirus software packages around here and I think Avast! is the best free solution around. The automatic updates are great and really frequent. I must say I have never had a trojan/virus infestation. It stops malicious scripts from webpages etc. really well. Anyway, do any of you use this one as well?

Norten is probably the best and it is extremly easy to use as well

so if you are a bit of a novice or an expert Norten would be a good choice

One thing though...

Norton is not free. For me personally, I am happy with a free solution that does the same. I use Sygate for my firewall protection, avast as antivirus software and other free tools and believe they perform as well and mainly for FREE!

if your going to pay, go norton, but it does chug at some points.
if you want to go free, go with AVG free edition, i find its faster anyways.

Yuh i'd agree with that. Paying money to get software isn't always the best solution to a problem.
