Virus/Suspicuos File detected

My AV's been giving me a warning since yesterday about one of my files being suspicious or infected.

It's located in c:\System Volume Information\_restore[97F1A776-blah blah]\RP244\A0093711.exe is a destructive program named W32/Trojan.AOBK

I need to delete this file immediately but for some reason, whenever i try to go into system vonlume information folder, it gives me a message: "You do not have an access to System Volume Information. Access denied"

How do i get to the folder so i could delete this file immediately

When your av tells u about it doesn't it give the option to delete/quarantine it?

no, it just tells me the location.
Well i am sure theres a way to delete it manually, but i just dont know how to open up system volume information folder when it says access denied.

Does anyone know how to open up the damn folder

Do you have administrator privledges or are you on Guest?

i do have admin privlage
as a matter of fact, there are two accounts on this laptop, and i tried both the accounts to see if i could open up system volume information folder, but i coudlnt open up the folder on both accounts.

I know how to make hidden folders visible from options, but i dont know why i cant open up this System v. information folder.
Do i have to change some settings or soemthing? Knowing that i have a trojan in my laptop and not being able to open up the folder to delete the file is frustrating me

Disable and re-enable System Restore to flush this infected restore point.

Click Start > Right click My Computer> Properties> System Restore and place a check next to the "Turn off System Restore" box.

Restart the machine to flush the restore points and then re-enable System Restore by removing the check from the "Turn off System Restore" box.

Then go to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore and create a new Restore Point.

Job done.

After a few weeks, i just got the same message...

Turn off System Restore Points and then try deleting it under Safe Mode without Networking. First thing first, gotta check for any bogus processes running and kill each one before you attempt on deletion.
