Virus?

If I leave my system running for 4 hours or more, whenever I try to run a program I get a message that not enough system resources exist to complete the requested operation. I had never gotten this message before about 3 days ago, which is about 2 days after I had reformatted and reinstalled. I was connected to the internet without a firewall  for about a day, but Norton Antivirus 2005 comes up empty when I run it. Is this a virus or some other problem?

p.s. I have 512MB of RAM and my paging file is 1GB

Byteman said:
could be the crappy ram...
I wouldn't call it crappy...but it has always worked before, why wouldn't it do so now? I'll run the program anyway, but I don't think that that is the problem.

i had that problem.
so i reformatted my hdd

sorry

but once i did, it worked fine
it is a dell 4400
lol
such a gay computer

I know that there is this Sidefind thing that comes up in my browser, but I was never able to get rid of it.

I am usually running WMP10, AIM, Norton Firewall, and Norton Autoprotect, and that is about all (of the programs)

I have and will, but cell4me seems to fancy it, I'll give him a chance. ;)

Wtf are you talking about?

And i read the stickies (for the first time:rolleyes: ) and Panda and HouseCall are running now. I had already run Spybot and AdawareSE and both fixed what they could, what I posted from HJT was right after a Norton '05, Adaware, and Spybot scan.

I will remove those that elmarcorulz posted and report back shortly

Thank you for your help

Tim

Panda and House Call just closed themselves for whatever reason....

Do I really need to be running them if Norton came up clean?

I fixed the selected items with HJT, and none came back immediately

I have been on here for like 3 hours and it has not given me the message yet...I guess that is good.

You need to reboot and see if things come back.
What I'm talking about is, I didn't ask for a Hijackthis log, cell4me did, he can deal with it.

Ok, I'll deal with it.

Go to add\remove programs and remove any of these you find.

Sidefind
YourSiteBar
ISTsvc
ISTbar
Internet Optimiser

Delete these folders\files if found.

C:\Program Files\YourSiteBar
C:\WINDOWS\fvkoylm.exe
C:\Program Files\ISTsvc
C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer
C:\Program Files\rdsc
C:\Program Files\SideFind

Then reboot and post a new Hijackthis log.

I removed SideFind and Internet Optimiser with add/remove programs, and deleted all the folders except the fvkoylm, which could not be found. Here is the updated HJT log:

Fix these with Hijackthis and you're all done. :)

Thank you very much for your help, I can actually tell that my computer is running faster, and the error message has not come up in a while:)

Tim

BTW I love this forum:D

Panda and House Call just closed themselves for whatever reason....

Do I really need to be running them if Norton came up clean?

I fixed the selected items with HJT, and none came back immediately

I have been on here for like 3 hours and it has not given me the message yet...I guess that is good.

if panda and hosuecall close themselves, its a sure sign of an infection my friend, what virus app do you use locally?
