viruses and movies

Say if you have a virus on your computer and want to burn and copy a movie using dvdfab or any other program is there a chance for the virus to somehow go onto the disk that has burned. Or will be it safe to burn and play the movie.

All depends, but like I said, why don't you just remove the virus/malwarebytes first. If you are infected I can help you remove whatever you have.

If the virus is a part of the movie file then yes.Otherwise no.
Once the disk is burned, put the disk inside and take a look at what all files it contains. If it contains JUST the movie files then logically virus is not burned.Just be sure to turn on the option to see all hidden data so you can be 100% sure that the burned disk contains no viruses...

Cheers!

Technically, if it is an exploit then it could be a part of the movie itself. So there wouldn't be any more files.

Many viruses are hidden files and some of them also create themselves with hidden autorun data and have nothing to do with the movie files.
Still every infected computer on this planet has different type of viruses so you can't know 100% for sure wether viruses are or not a part of the movie files or any other files.
