so i just got vista home premium 64 bit today and installed it. the install of the os itself and all my drivers went pretty smooth. i just installed cod4 though, and after i join any server the game locks up and i get the bsod. i haven't installed any other games, but i'm going to soon to see if they do the same thing. my hardware is a q6600, 2 gigs of corsair 10066 ddr2, evga 9800gx2, evga 780i mobo. everything's at stock speeds. any help would be appreciated.

yes, i installed all my drivers and rebooted. i'm almost completely positive everything is 64 bit compatible, since people on this forum said that os would work fine. i suppose it could be call of duty though. i haven't had time to install anything else yet so with any luck it is just call of duty

no i didn't re install it, but it works fine now. but now steam games crash after playing them for like 30 seconds. i can ctrl+alt+delete out of it though but sometimes my screen gets like all fuzzy and i have to restart my comp

hmm possibly. does anyone think that it could be cause i'm using a dvi cable? i know in the past i've had issues with vista and dvi cables but that was close to a year ago
