i need some help real quick. My father in law is helping his mate whos daughter put a password on the administrator account of his laptop. We have tried all the methods we know of recovering the password but are having no luck. Does anyone know hard to reset or remove the password? we can not get into the computer at all, even safe mode is passworded and thereare no guest accounts that we can use. Pleade if anyone knows how to fix this can you get back to me ASAP thanx
 
download hiren bootcd and burn it to cd and boot from cd. there's a password removal tool option in there.

Not to discredit what's on the link, but I'm looking into the exact same problem for a friend of mine, and there are more than a few ways around it, I think its just that Microsoft doesn't want to promote these third part methods.

I have yet to find and use one myself that works (I haven't tried any yet, working or no, still browsing) but once I get more info, I'll be sure to fill you in.
 
Download a bootable password resetter and run that. The tricky part is probably finding one on the net that actually works.
