Vista backdating problems...

I have bought an Advent 8117 (the laptop from Currys that was £399) and I have a strong dislike for Vista, i've tried many times to backdate the laptop to XP, I have a copy of XP Pro and no matter what I do, I cannot backdate it. I currently have an empty partition that is 20GB which I was going to try and install XP on, but again no avail. Can anyone help me with this please? If i need any drivers for XP could you tell me which ones i will need?

OK,

well boot off the XP disc and just do a clean reinstall.

As for drivers, you will everything!!!! - LAN, Video Card, Sound Card, etc

I tried to find drivers, but i can't seem to find them, maybe someone else can do that.
 
OK, so do i just download ALL the drivers then use nLite to make a brand spanking new disc? and every single driver i can possibly think of should be on there right? Could anyone else help with any driver locations for Advent 8117 pleeease?
