Vista Basic Performance Versus Premium

This may sound totally dumb but I have a question for Vista users. My PC is running Vista Basic and it seems to run it well. If I put Premium on my PC, would it necessarily run any better? (My PC specs are shown in my signature) I am wondering if there is any BIG difference in the two editions as far as performance goes….not bell and whistle wise. For example, I know Premium has more features than Basic but how do they compare in performance?

i would think basic as XP home edition

im pretty sure it would run with no problem cuz i run ultimate on about half the system.
