Well, When I got on the computer you no when you first start it up! I pressed the button on my computer to turn it on went to the bathroom, Came back and the documents folder was poped up and everything is BLACK! So I had to ctrl+alt+delete then run then I typed in everything that I had to to get into the internet! WTF Is going wrong! I still have the black screen on as I speak! There is no destop at all! I no last time it did this and I type windows in my command prompt and it wont work! I want this fixed Im getting MAD!:mad: I need an answer quick because I have no idea whats going on!

Hmm, I had an issue similar to this. I had a background but it was the standard Vista themed background. I didn't have any documents in the My Documents folder or any of my music files. I just manually turned off my laptop, waited 2 mins. rebooted, started windows normally and it came back as normal. Perhaps something didn't load right on Vista due to an update or something of that nature, I'd restart your machine and see how that works.

Just curious here, but what did you do in Windows Explorer?

ummm? I went to start, computer, Disk Drive C, Windows, Double Clicked windows explorer! Then the desktop came up and started to load everything! I just need to no how to get it to automatically load when I start the computer!

find the explorer.exe you mentioned before then open start menu. all programs. startup. drag explorer.exe into startup folder. should work anyway.
