Vista codecs and second partition security

I just installed vista ultimate 64 bit but I don't have codecs cuz avi movies won't play in mce does anybody know of a good complete codec pack for vista (with mce codecs) thanks

edit when I try to open a file from my xp partition then I have to make myself the owner of the file is there an easy way to fix that?

ok I just got all my files so that I can view them I had to make myself owner for the whole hard drive and all the subfolders but it messed up my xp so that it doesn't work but idc
 
Another thing Microsoft didn't do 'right'!

I too have been searching for codecs, I hope you don't mind me asking in your thread... But, for FRAPS's AVI files to be recognized in WMM, what codec/s or codec pack will I need?
