Vista Conspiracy

I am considering using Windows Vista when it comes out but i am a little reluctant because I have somewhat of a conspiracy theory about it. I don't know if i'm right or not but will microsoft monitor things you do? Will they be able to determine what you are doing?

I may be wrong, but i have a funny feeling im right

They may be monitoring reports that the OS gives, since afterall the whole point of the BETA's are for Microsoft to receive feedback on how the OS is running.

Their not going to see the websites you look at, or take control of your computer, since there are so many people with Vista on their machines it wouldn't make sense to do that.

Actually I heard that will be the case!

:P

But only if you get the optional electronic brain implant to go along with the Vista.

I dont know about that conspiracy, all i know windows never tested their products they sell them and provide you with service packs after wards.

That so-call conspiracy has been heard ever since Windows ME I believe, or XP, maybe even eariler. But really, it's probably not true. They just have that error report that happens every once in a while when something goes wrong that sends data to them.

There are certain programs like Windows Media Player that do report certain things back home, but nothing real specific, mostly just when you are using it and how frequently. (That's why Spybot and AdAware find that as Spyware ;))

I'm pretty sure toddl1 is right! but I heard that if you wrap your hard drive in tinfoil you should be safe ;).

i would leave vista alone for atleast 6 months after its relise just so it has ironed out some of the flaws and glitches it will be relesed with

What is up with all theese people saying Vista is not tested. I've been testing it for about 6 months. Like all Betas it has some bugs and so will the final release but that is the curse of any large scale OS like Windows. Mac OS has its fair share of bugs too (not so sure on Linux I'm new to that).

Anyway, Vista does not have any kind of programs that send personal information, just useless junk like how much CPU usage is being used by media player when it crashes.

has anybody seen apples new moniter. it sounds very cool but then again it can be a dangerious tool of destruction. anyways its an lcd moniter that can be turned into a video cammera. now this can be very cool for chatting but what happenes when your not using that function could somebody else be useing it???
