Vista for gaming?

Hello,

I have a windows vista ultimate machine right now that I am going to upgrade for gaming soon. Right now I have

AMD Athalon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ processor 2.61 GHz
1 GB of DDR2 RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit
Nvidia 7600 GT video card
160 GB HDD

I am hoping to get

4 GB of OCZ DDR2 Dual Channel RAM
Nvidia 9800 GT
320 GB internal HDD
And possibly a new case but still run windows vista, would that be okay for games like crysis and COD4?

Would I need to upgrade my processor?

Oh, and I have an EPoX AF550 PRO motherboard, would that be okay for the 9800 GT? Also my case is pretty bad so I might get a new one of those, and tips on changing cases? Oh, and my sister broke my USB ports so do cases usually come with new USB ports already installed?

Most cases now come with USB ports in the front, mostly two and then you connect the front panel cables to the motherboard.

What is your budget on upgrading your parts?
 
It's about $300
I have $200 from my parents
$100 from my grandparents
And I pay the rest. I do not NEED a new case, just some parts so I can start gaming, my cousin might get me a new case. I have only built one computer, and that was with some help, I know how to, but how would I take my motherboard out safely? I am going to take my comp apart on the weekend so I can apply the upgrades. Also would the AF550 be able to support the 9800 GT?

UPDATE: Ok, so I was talking to my dad and now he is saying that I can get the RAM and 9800 GT from a split cost from him and my grandparents. Then i asked my cousin and he said he might get me the hard drive. So now I just need to convince my dad to let me get the case.

Yes i run Windows Vista Home Premium on my desktop (in sig)
 
Are there any special requirements to run the 64-bit version?
Also would you be able to answer the questions about my video card and Hard Drive?

Easily it ran perfectly on my rig which is less then yours. Just make sure to tweak vista. A good site is this http://www.blackviper.com/ has all OS tweaks.
