Vista freezing while shutting down

My computer is freezing during the shutdown process, it goes to the screen that says "shutting down" and freezes, I've recently installed a wireless card. the computer is weeks old.

anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

If it is only weeks old you may want to ave a long look at the warranty that came with it. You may as well use it. You paid for it. I would first take out the wireless ard you installed.
