Vista-ish

I read an article the other day about being able to DL vista features and run them on XP. However, I can't remeber what they were called and I forgot the magazine on the plane. So, does anyone know what I'm talking about? If so, could you send me in the right direction? Thanks!

its not windows vista tranform pack 4 by any chance? im using it without the special effects enabled right now and its pretty good

There are many possibilities unless you really narrow down your information for us about it.

It could be one of many Transformation packs, BricoPacks, or Themes.
It could be the sidebar tool.
Boot, and logon screens.
Folder Icons.
WMP 11.
IE7.
Wallpapers, etc..

can you post the transformation pack please. i tried one and it suckd it messed up my whole computer. it had me chose from vista 1 vista 2 aero xp or longhorn for like 10 different things it sucked. is this what you were talking about?

Ahh!!! The sidebar tools. That's what it was that I was reading about! I couldn't remeber for the life of me what it was. Thanks to the both of ya's. I'm DL'ing windows vista transform pack 4 as we speak.

Look around and see which pack you like. The two sites are two totally different Vista packs.

Vista Transformation Pack 4.0. Screenshot is a link on the right.

Does this thing contain spyware/trojans/viruses/worms? Would I be able to uninstall it later w/o having to resort to system restore? Will it crash my system?

if you have a video card it will run fine. yes you can uninstall just by running the install file again and choosing uninstall

Definitely these. Windowblinds uses up resources and loads up at startup all the time. These just replaces the .dll files and runs them as if nothing ever changed.

i think it installs windows blinds. my opinion: dont download it. made my comp run like crap. the side toolbar thing was a memory hog and everything was slowing me down.

EDIT: i think mine actually installed windows blinds
