hi
my brother gave me his laptop, a packard bell. Problem is hes gone travelling but forgot to tell me the password. does anyone know how to bypass it? I cant logon to change system settings on statup because the Phoenix BIOS program has a password on it too.
Would really appreciate any replies cause I need to use it for work ASAP!
thanks

Sorry dude, whether you are telling the truth or trying to getinto someone elses computer, im pretty sure you wont get any help on that subject. Thats just the way it goes.

i believe even if your brother had gone for a trip he still can be reached at his cell phone and you should be able to get the password from him rather than you just break thru without him knowing.

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

hey everyone
I finally did it yessssssssssss! Although the BIOS wouldnt let me change the boot options without the password, I decided to take out the harddrive and put in a copy of windows XP Pro setup disk. Well, for some reason, it was happy to boot off the CD when there was nothing else to boot from. It worked! It booted from the xp disk, so as it was doing that i put the HD back in and managed to install XP to the HD, bypassing the BIOS password. Now I have downloaded Vista Ultimate and am going to upgrade. Now I've got an OS working I got software to crack the BIOS password so everything is 100% thanks to you guys not helping me out i have the satisfaction of spending 10 hours of effort being rewarded. So cheers. have a nice day.:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Get In The PC

Boot up the laptop. Press F8 while the pc is booting about 6 times. Select the "Safe Mode" option and press enter. You will see the administrator user account. Sometimes it is unlocked. Click it. Then go into user accounts in control panel. Remove you uncles password of his account. (Explain You Had to for some reason) Reboot the pc in normal mode. Click you uncles account and access is yours!

Hope this was helpful
