I did click on Update my score with 2 GB memory rams(2x1). The result is
Processor 5.3
Memory 5.0
Graphics 5.9
Gaming graphics 5.9
Primary hard disk 5.3
I thought if I buy 2 more GB memory rams will increase the score, I did order the same brand from Crucial. I install them. Right now there is 4x1GB 240pin 128x64 DDR2 PC2-6200 UNBuff.
Vista read 3.25 GB because I am using 32bits. I click the Update my score again. The result is
Processor 5.3
Memory 4.8
Graphics 5.9
Gaming graphics 5.9
Primary hard disk 5.3
How come my memory score have went down by adding 1.5 GB memory rams? Thanks.

The index score thing is way off all the time. The index score is more of a guide and is poorly designed. My score also went down when I added at faster hdd to my system.

Vista determine your memory score not only its capacity, it also determine your memory read and write speed.. I think if you want your memory score higher, you should buy ram with higher ddr like ddr3 1333mhz

If you know anything about hardware, why even CARE about that stupid index thing? I know what I have, I don't need some Vista index tool to tell me how good my components are. No offense, but the day I buy more or better of whatever just so I can increase my score in that is the day....I just don't know.
