Am i vista ready? *sig specs*
Can i get a vista upgrade like vista home upgrade, and upgrade my winxp MCE os?


Should i OvCl my cpu and maybe add 512mb - 1gb of ram?

Well i would probably get Home premium for my next system as its only an extra $20 than the Home basic.

I have business, it's pretty much like Ultimate, but without the media center and the Ultimate "extras".

Why in the world did you buy the 32-Bit verision??

vista does not offer any curcial update over xp, I would bide my time and let them release it, and then let them patch it, and buy it in like 6 months. Remember when XP first came out in 02? There was tons of little problems here and there on various hardware configs. Plus 64bit driver support sucks at the moment. My advice is to wait.

IMO you should have stuck with XP until 64-bit apps for Vista are available.

You can download the Vista Upgrade Advisor to see if any changes to your computer need to be made upon installing Vista. It will check your PC's performance, hardware devices, programs and drivers for compatibility issues and in the end it gives you a report that you can save. Pretty handy.

And I also would get at least Home Premium. It is worth the extra 20 bucks.

I'd just get home premium, it's similar to Ultimate, and has the aero feature, but just cheaper.
