Vista saves 75 dollars a year in energy

i do notice in vista my cpu voltage is lower on idle and on a load it raises. But my clocks stay the same, or else i would be pissed :P

Ok no lowering clocks, that was just a guess. This still doesn't make me want Vista though..

Yes..

More programs running = more load = more energy.

Less program running = less load = Less Energy

Xp runs alot a background programs, but they rarely, if ever, produce any load on the CPU. Rarely goes over 5% in my case, and 5% load is not enough to strain the CPU and suck extra voltage.

Hail Linux! If only game devs provided full support for linux, or a better emulator than wine was released.. i would so be outa M$ land.
