Vista Service Pack 2 Available

Well not so good at first.

Everything went fine and installed. After stage 3 of the update and it auto restarted and froze on the welcome screen. I had to hard restart it...did that 2 more times. I left it on the welcome screen for about 10 minutes each.

Finally started and booted all the way fine. It had my Symantic disabled and would not start F@H. I tried to start both manually and nothing. It would say that F@H was already running.

After 2 more restarts everything seems normal again. We'll see how the next couple days go. I'm sure it will be fine...I like Vista:D

Installed and working fine.

It installed without a hitch.

Btw, I installed through Windows Update instead of downloading the file. :good:

Who knows. It seems like M$ never provides detailed release notes for these service packs.

I prefer the standalone EXE in case I wanna slipstream and what not.

I'll definitely grab the file(s) as well. This was just easier at the time.

Also, for those who had the "Beta" or "Pre-Release" version of this Service Pack:
Removing the prerelease version of SP2
The prerelease version of SP2 is time-limited software.
You must remove the prerelease version of the service pack before you
install the final version of the service pack.

Also, this software will no longer operate after May 1, 2010.
You must remove the prerelease version of SP2 before that date.

Hmm...Last night I restarted my pc a few times and twice it hung on the "Preparing Your Desktop"
screen, and when it got to the desktop it said it "Could not load your profile correctly", and my
wallpaper was stock and basically everything was default. Disappointing...
