Vista Theme service Freezes

So my Vista 64's theme service suddenly started to freeze upon start up. The computer would boot up fine, but the dreamscene won't kick in for say a min or two. During this time, my explorer is essentially frozen. I can't right click or open anything on my desktop. If i disable my dreamscene the problem goes away entirely.

My computer was not doing this before. Can anyone tell me why my theme service is freezing?

Surprisingly it will likely be the software for the video not loading fully. I see that at some times with the ATI model here where the icon fails to appear in the sysstem tray. I then right click on the desktop to click on the CCC link there.

As far as themes? The Classic works well the remaining time. Generally this is involving display drivers loading sideways on occasion or some software glitch with software. You might have to abandon it entirely if any attempt at a full reinstall doesn't get you anywhere. Also check your startups items in the msconfig in case something there is causing a problem.
