Vista to Windows 7

Hello,

I have a laptop that rarely goes online. Usually only used to when working with Cad programs. What is the best way to upgrade Vista Home to Windows 7 Home?

Appreciate any help.

Unless you can find a copy of windows 7 on ebay, it's not sold anymore in stores. What are the system specs of it? If they are decent would just recommend getting windows 10.
 
Thanks John. Due to a theft I no longer have the software for my main Cad program and don't want to lose it; it's 6 years old but a good one. I found a full version of Windows 7 Home on Ebay from a reputable seller.

I plan to backup my hard drive and upgrade to Windows 7 Home. If I understand correctly, all I need is Windows 7 Home to perform the upgrade. Is that correct?
