Could someone explain to me,like I was 4 yrs.,old,how to format my hard-drive,so I could,erase vista os,and apply windows7 os,to my hard-drive?

If you have a windows 7 disc then follow the next instructions.

BACKUP ALL YOUR VALUABLE DATA
Ensure your optical drive is the first one to boot your OS this can be changed in your BIOS (to find the BIOS on your PC google it. it will be one of the F keys then your are going to look for boot menu and make sure dvd drive is the first one in the list)

Restart your machine with your Windows disc in the DVD drive & follow the on-screen instructions for setting up Windows 7.

This tutorial on How To Perform a Clean Installation of Windows 7 should guide you in the right direction. Let us know if you have any questions with the installation process.

You can also check out this video from cnet.comthen enter type Upgrade Windows vista to Windows 7 in the seach bar and watch that video.

when you get to the install screen (with the partitions), just delete the vista and swap space partitions and choose to install on the new "unused" partition. If you only have vista now (no extra partitions), then just delete the whole partition list and install 7. (this is what I do. Never had a problem with it).

It's all here.
-To get to the computer's Basic In/Out System (BIOS):
Rapidy tap a key as you turn the computer on. The key is usually "delete", but if that one doesn't work, try the others posted above.

-Once your in the BIOS, you'll see some tabs and a lot of terms and settings but, just use the arrow key to scroll over the the "boot" tab.

-Then arrow down to highlight " boot priority" or "boot settings" (<--something like that). Select "1st boot device" > <enter>. There will be options. Select [your cd/dvd drive] and press ENTER to make it 1st.

-Insert the Windows 7 DVD.

-Then ESC key, go to EXIT tab, select "exit and save settings" > <enter>. The computer will reboot to the DVD.

-Follow the steps, and when you get to "Where do you want to install Windows?", select "Drive Options (advanced)".

-Follow the steps to delete partitions, format the HDD, and select "where to install windows". The installer will continue so finish its steps and your done.
