Vista To XP - another story

I'll try to be brief.

Bought a new Dell with Vista installed. Vista and bloatware addons cause me nausea. I ask pregnant GeekSquad girl at counter about just wiping drive and installing XP. She says no way, will fry computer cuz i won't be able to find right drivers for everything, and waddles away. I check Dell's website and they appearently have XP drivers for my model, but they list things with scary names like "chipset driver" and "bios update". I'm not worried about voiding warranty and I can install a harddrive. But is Preggy right? Is the task too much for a meat-head like me?

I look at the games on the shelf and software on the net and just frown these days. It took years for XP to get the kind of support it has today. I'm not willing to wait that long on Vista.

no you can do it(stay away form the bios update). id just remove the extra 'free software' they install then get a memory upgrade and stick with vista. then kick the prego for lying to you (optional :P ).
