Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Hi there;
I recently got a copy of Vista ultimate 64 bit free from my workplace and I wanted to try it out on my X6800 system. I followed the prompts of the installation process and it ALL looked fine, until I booted up for the first time. I found that the 32 bit version had installed. There was no where in the setup to specify which version I want installed.

How do I force it to install 64 bit?

Thanks in advance.

You need the 64bit DVD, I don't think they have both versions on the same DVD for any of the packages.

Apparently they are the same, I inserted a Home premium DVD in but used my 64 bit serial, Vista ultimate 32 bit installed.

Just to clarify, all Vista installation disks include all the files to make your install Ultimate. However, based on the license provided windows will disable or enable available features. (that's how they offer the "Anytime Upgrade") Check it out

However, the 32 and 64 Bit versions are on different disks. The License you used only told widows you had an Ultimate license, it really doesn't care which you installed on your computer.
