for those of you with this OS , is 1 gig of RAM really enough to do all the aero shtuff ????? i have a gig already and im goin to transit to Vista Ultimate this saturday. but im goin to upgrade to 2 gigs soon, but is 1 gig good enough for now ??????
 
I haven't used Vista Basic so I can't tell you what all Aero included. I know it has different cursors and different titlebars. I have seen some Vistas with only 512MB of RAM. They're probably quite slow but I guess they work. I use a Dell Inspiron with 1Gig and it runs great. Does your PC say that it is Vista ready on a sticker on the side of your PC?

uhm i custom built my computer, but like i want to know all the different feutures Aero comes with , bc all i have heard of is Dream Scene, glass tool bars, 3d flip and thats it , i know theres more ,, isnt there !?!?!??

yah, readyboost iswhen u plug a flash drive (usb 2.0 and high transfer speed)... in and at autoplay select "help speed up my system using readyboost"...it helps make my comp. a bit faster...i live the usb stick in all time as it fills it with data...basically caches files on there too help with loading..
 
no no i mean , like all the cool looking things on aero, i dont need what other programs it provides, i want to know , what else Aero provides ?????
