Well since Windows 7 comes out soon, are all vista games compatible with Win7?

E.G. Arma II, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, NFS etc.

Cheers

Yes

Win7 is basically an update to Vista

Any and everything that worked with Vista will work with Win 7

If it wont then you run it in compatability mode

when i had the win7 beta I every one of my games worked, and i tried quite a few out, WoW, CoD4 and WaW, TF2, C&C3, fallout 3 and quite a few others, but you get the idea, all of them worked

From the benchmarks I've read and all, Windows 7 will be faster than Vista. How much this will hold true for the production version and such is hard to say. But even given this, I'd hold off a little while before upgrading. Even with the pre-release and all, I'm sure many bugs will be worked out soon after being released :P

Isn't that what the beta's for? :P

Yeaaah... But I feel pretty sure more people will be using it once it's officially released (seeing as it'll be preloaded on every new PC/forced on users :P) plus I'm sure many people missed out/didn't know of the beta. While it might be better off than say Vista at first, I still feel it'd be best to wait a while for a few bugs to be worked out.

Though I will say while I've had it on my old Dell, I've only had one real problem... Aside from some degraded performance, it's been pretty good. No testing in games or anything of that sort though.

Only thing is all the newer games won't actually work on xp will they?

I tried 7 for about a month. Even though I can tell it is going to be a great OS, it is still very much in the early stages.

I'll let you guys beta test my new OS :P

I just hope that games that work on xp and don't on vista will work on 7 without having to use "xp mode"

example: hitman blood money. it only works in vista when DEP is off and the game .exe is set to run in Windows NT Compatibility Mode
