I have used Vista x64 for years, and always had iTunes and Quicktime installed.

Never had a problem.

Did you install "As Administrator"?

Sorry heh,

If I remember correctly I had major issues with itunes on Vista, but that was before any of the service packs were released.

Well I guess sp 2. The thing with Vista though it's known for compatibility issues, I know some who never had problems at all, but I definitely had issues with itunes with the first release of Vista HP 32 bit. But after all the updates and service packs installed, plus I think itunes was tweaked to cope with Vista, a clean reinstall eventually resolved the issue. I just kept problem solving and eventually got there through trial and error. Sorry I can't really identify an exact method though.
