Vista worth it?

May be a noob question haven't heard much about Vista then again I have no been looking:P, just that it has DX10. If building a new computer is Vista and a medium priced gfx card ($150) with DX10 worth buying. Please fill me in here.
 
No, not if you plan on purchasing a $150 DX10 card, you'll barely play the DX10 games. You're better off getting a $300+ GFX (such as an 8800) and it will be more enjoyable.
 
I think so, but if you want a DX10 card you need to go no lower than a 8800GT ($270). The 8600GTS i think would be useless with DX10
 
If it were me I'd personally buy a nice DX9 card until DX10 games actually come around and then upgrade to a mid-range. You could use EVGA's step up program but I don't know how long it lasts.
 
Vista was probably the worst $200 I ever spent. I got the Home Premium Upgrade and I was not impressed at all. I wish I would have used it on one of those demo computers that just sit at the stores, but I was not impressed at all. I have since sold my copy of Vista and reverted back to XP, and I am now much happier with my computer.
