Vista + XP + Printer = WTF!?

Okay, just exp'd my first driver issue in Vista, which was expected, lol. I have a Lexmark X2350 AIO printer, I know where to find the Vista x64 driver. This is hooked up to my Dad's computer which runs XP SP2. How do I make this work?

Thanks

If you have the driver then what is stopping you? Plug the printer in and install the driver. I have a Lexmark X75 and it doesn't support vista at all. :(:(:(

Haha....we had a Lexmark X75 at work and the power cord plug, that goes into the back of the printer, it melted. I dunno what happened...

The printer is connected to my Dad's computer and I have it shared on the network. Do I need to install the Vista x64 driver on my computer to make it work or on his computer? I don't have the room right now to connect it in my room

What are you trying to do? Share the printer between both computers? If that's the case, good luck getting the networking to work correctly between the two computers... Should work fine, but really doesn't.

I have it connected on a different computer, I had it working with my old XP computer. Now I just need it to work with my Vista x64 computer. It is shared on my home network....

Hmm..., the Lexmark drivers for Vista should work fine for that Vista computer, however I have known of some people to have some issue with networking devices like printers between Vista and XP machines; and yes, they're pretty knowledgable people. If the computers are near each other, than you can just get a USB peripheral switch/splitter; otherwise, which computer is this printer shared on? If it's shared on the XP machine you may have more luck than the other way around since the extra security crap on Vista may be interfering with sharing the printer over the network to other computers...

It's shared on the XP machine, I can find the printer, Vista just says that it doesn't have the correct drivers.
