Vista

I'm formating my PC (the clean-up every 2 years or so) and am wondering if I should stick with XP or switch to Vista.

Thx

I'd say if possible, install both. I have XP and Vista installed, but I'm using XP due to some compatibility issues in Vista with some software.

I would have to say that it's a matter of personal preference. I personally run Windows XP and am happy with it! I have heard that some people have issues with software compatibility using Vista. Another consideration is the hardware that you have. Vista takes up more system resources, so if it's an older system, Vista may not run well on it.

about finding run in windows vista

where do i find this i know people who use vista but im not sure where to look cuz i use xp sp2 myself and i was gonna try ot find out more about my friends system and stuff but i dont know where run is on it you know how you can type run and then use the command promps or type in dxdiag and stuff

Vista has gotten a lot better over the years, especially with SP1 there are a lot less driver/app compatbility issues and many people have found various tweaks to speed it up and make it less annoying.

ok

so what do i need to do to fine run on vista so i can type cmd or dxdiag and check out some of the stuff on it cuz i dont have vista i have xp but i need help finding run on my friends vista and my friend is doing this instead of me cuz its her computer but im trying to walk her through on how to do this to find out what type of system she has and stuff how would i go about that
