OK. I think I have an issue with lack of memory but I am not a pro by any means. I have 1 gig, single channel, DDR RAM at 400 mhz and the AMD Athlon 3700+ processor.

When I am viewing a graphically intense web page, like on myspace for example, and scrolling down the page, the scroll is very "choppy". Also, if there is music playing on the page, the music will become choppy.

My ram is usually 90% full so maybe it is lack of space? My mother board only supports DDR, not DDR2 so I don't want to build a new system yet because I don't feel my hardware is out of date by any means.

Also, I am running a debian based system called Linspire. Maybe it's not the right drive the the video card? Who knows? Should I just get another 1 gig of RAM?

welcome to the forums friend.
lack of space has nothing to do with a webpage
Are you sure it's memory ? or is it the content thats not streaming as it should ?
what is your browser ?

Thanks for the welcome!

I am using firefox. I will try to explain in more detail. This is most problematic when using myspace. There are bells and whistles all over the place. I really have no idea what the problem is. I just assumed it would be ram...

EDIT. I tried other browsers and it happens just the same... Grrr.

if you tried all browsers and the problem persists it cant be ram, i don't think so.
