Visual Studio 6.0 download?

Hi everyone.
I wanted to try my luck with Windows 2000 on my laptop and got it to work somewhat flawlessly. I am trying to find some software to install on Windows 2000; one of them is Visual Studio 6.0.
The only downloads that I can find are torrent files, but I can't troubleshoot my Bittorrent. Are there any other places where I can download Visual Studio 6.0?

Thanks.

If I am not mistaken...discussing illegal data downloads is against the rules on this forum lol.

Anyway...why don't you simply use Visual Studio 2002 (version 7.0)?
Visual Studio 2002 (version 7.0) also works on Windows 2000.
And it's a lot better than it's previous version 6.0.

If you want to get into programming I recommend you get a newer OS and then use one of the Microsoft Visual Basic/Studio products which are free.

2010 should work on XP and newer http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/downloads#d-2010-express

2012 is the latest (not sure if it works on XP or Vista) http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/downloads#d-2012-express

Much better than Visual Studio 6.0.

If you really need 6.0 then I'm sure you can get it cheaply second hand these days. Look on eBay.

Unforcenately...the damn Visual Studio 2012 is not supported on Windows XP and on Windows Vista. :(
Applications made in it CAN execute on Windows XP and Windows Vista or newer, but the self Visual Studio 2012 IDE cannot.
I bet Microsoft did that on purpose!:mad::mad:

Well he can use 2010 which is pretty decent if he's on XP and Vista and these operating systems can't be supported forever you know... XP will be 12 years old this October and it hasn't really changed much whilst the world around it has.

Just to clarify, I have VS2010 on Windows 7. I'm just trying to get my hands on some legacy software for Windows 2000. ;)

If you want this to work on Windows 2000 then I definetely recommend you to use either Visual Studio 2002 (7.0) or Visual Studio 2003(7.1).
These two are the latest versions of Visual Studio which work on Windows 2000.
And by the way...I am still on XP and I still use Visual Studio 2002 (7.0).
Visual Studio 2002 is still great and it's possible to do almost anything in it if you know how.At least I can. :D
