vlc help

I use vlc to play DVDs on my computer and I have an LCD monitor.

The Monitor is connected to the computer HDMi port.

Sould I have the VLC De Interlace option set to ON it is set to OFF?

I ask because DVDs are Interlaced

I just use the default VLC settings, though I don't remember what that is.
