$500, i'd do this, it ends up ~$550 before rebates, but you'd get good memory, a decent board, a decent cpu, a great optical drive, a decent case, a decent graphics card with a lifetime warranty, and a nice fast hard drive:

lol thats exactly what i have in build 2. except less HDD and everything else is same

and the Mobo is DDR2 compatible while your giving me ddr3 memory... /fail now it be a good build if it was ddr3

Your second build has an XFX GPU(XFX has terrible warranty service for alot of people), a 600W unit vs a 700W(best to have headroom on the sirtec built units, as you really dont want more than a 40-50% load on them as above that ripple starts getting quite bad), 1333mhz vs 1600mhz memory, a case with pretty horrible airflow, and a caviar blue(best used as storage vs boot drives). In any case i'd go with build #2 of your options, HEC makes pretty terrible power supplies.

o.0 then why does XFX have more customer reviews then the saphhire? and i thought XFX was better but anyways yea youyr build looks pretty decent. i might go for that so thanks. and can you double check if everything is compatible in ur build? Also how better is 460 GTX then 5770

If you can afford the 460, its definately worth it over the 5770. The 460 battles and beats the 5830, not the 5770.

XFX has a good warranty on paper...but when it comes to actual support, they have voided warranties for some of the stupidiest reasons i've seen, GPU wise anyhow, their power supply support is top notch though.

And yes, everything is compatible.

Customer reviews really mean nothing, i have always said, take newegg reviews with a grain of salt, as many users either 1) are new to tech and don't know what they are talking about, 2) do not actually own the product, or 3) received a non functional product and wanted to complain. You'll soon find that many users who actually have a working device don't generally write a review on newegg, and more people use it to complain about a product, which is why you cannot take an accurate sample from most of those reviews.

oh ok thanx that build is set for me i guess. but will it be as fast as my build 2. Also can you try to make a build with 460 with that would be really great. thanks
 
I'm gunna stick up for XFX here, while their support aren't the sharpest tools in the shed they haven't let me down too much... sent things to the wrong address and had them re reouted... the key thing is not to be demanding and snobby. and say thank you a lot :D

Hard thing to do when you have to deal with their support tickets. They don't exactly have a great reputation with the BBB either. I have seen them void warranties for tens of reasons that a warranty should not be voided, for example , "oxidation", which i have experienced first hand alongside others. Heck, i've seen them void a warranty because of flux on the board, from the soldering process of THEIR oem.

ahh ok then i guess i will stick to 5770. Since the PSU costs more
and what just happened to newegg everything got pricey with shipping...
