Is there a FREE program that converts .VRO to a viewable format? I bought avstools and it only converted like 1minute of a 30 minute .VRO, so that program is worthless..

I am getting the .VRO off my panasonic camcorder if that makes any difference, and no it did not come with any type of software for this which is why it is so frustrating.. :(

Can you not 'finalise' the video before downloading it?

I used to have problems with my toshiba camcorder, I don't think I ever found anything free - I notice 'prism' video converter is the only one still on my machine, so maybe that worked, can't remember.

With the camera before that I used to just edit the files (change .whateveritwas to .mpg/mpeg) and it worked, doesn't work with the files my new camera puts out though - worth a shot.

No as I have a multiple rewrite disc 100k if im correct, so if I finalize it, I can not rewrite to it again..

I've tried changing the extention, and I'm lucky if any porgram recognizes it, and it if does, I get maybe 1-2mins out of 30+ minutes..

If it happens to be a PAID program within a reasonable price then that's fine too, just would like to find something with a simple user friendly UI, possibly one that not only converts, but allows me to edit & burn to dvd as well ..

I basically want to copy what's on my camera to my PC, edit/save to watch on my pc, but also be able to burn to dvd to share with family..

I'd give Total Video Converter a try, it's the best one I've ever used.

Not sure if it supports this format, just shooting it out there though. :)

Well I got about 10 more minutes converted, but after the first 30 seconds the sound was gone.. Still not a full 1hr long conversion etc.. :(
