vt enable or disable in bios

ok, so i have a hp dv9005us as in my sig. I just updated it and now there is a VT (virtualization technology) it is disabled but what does it do? what advantages does it give me.

It sounds like it helps with virtualization software like Xen and other server virtualization tools.

I am betting that, that is the software HP puts on their systems so that they can trouble shoot your system. It let's them take over your computer so they can trouble shoot it.

My recommendation is to remove it from your system.
