wacom tablet

I've bought a wacom bamboo and after installing it was working just fine. After a while, though, it began working as if pressed all the time. I reinstalled it and had it working again... perfect, just how it should: very nice pressure sensivity and nice precision, but then again it began to act in a weird way. Sometines it wouldn't respond to pressure anymore and others it would react as if pressed all the time. The problem vanishes and come back without and evident cause.
I'm still using windows XP, so that drivers must be up to date. Did anybody experience the same?

I probably wont be much help but.. I have the same type of tablet and I havent had that problem yet and I got mine last christmas. Although my old tablet did have similar problems but that was just because it was falling apart- - anyways;
What programs are you using when you draw? Because I know sometimes that can effect the function of the tablet. I always forget to save my settings when i draw and then when I come back to my work, the default settings are back.

Sadly it sounds like its more then that with you , but i remember with my old tablet sometimes it helped just to replug it back in.
Maybe if your downloading the driver from a site, it might have a bug in it or soemthing? Anyways, i wish you luck, sorry i wasnt much help-

Thanks anyway cuss!

I think I have a hardware problem. I've installed it on 3 different computers with two different drivers versions and keep getting the same problem. It isn't a problem with system or drivers. I'll use my warranty. Just some more weeks and some extra cost for shipment and, if lucky, I can begin my drawing sessions.
Well, Van Gogh had a harder life. I won't cut my ears for that.

yep youve got a hardware problem. My first bamboo did the exact same thing. I took it back to best buy and they replaced it. Its a great tablet when you get one that works!

Thanks! It's good to have a confirmation. I bought it in NY and brought it to Rio de Janeiro... so, my only chance is to contact the wacom support and try to send it directly to them. I have already sent an e-mail, but no answer yet. Do somebody have any experience with the wacom support crew?
