Wally-Mart Onn Mouse Issue

Hello everybody.

I purchased a cheapo corded mouse from Wal-Mart a few weeks ago because I do quite a bit of photography and image manipulation for one of my side businesses. That coupled with work in Blender, Fruity Loops and CAD...precise cursor control is a relatively high priority. :(

The problem I am having is that the mouse seems to take on a mind of its own every once in a while. With its click settings set at the maximum, occasionally selecting any single desktop icon will open a program as if it was double-clicked. This also happens when I try to drag and drop or select paragraph text.

I have only had this problem with corded IR mice when it seemed that it's life was coming to an end. Is this the issue I am having with a new, cheap mouse or is it a driver problem?

Here is a link to the mouse I purchased:

...and here is a screeny of my device manager with the drivers Windows 7 installed via updates. The system states that all drivers are functioning properly.

Thanks guys for all of your help.

EDIT: If I'm missing any information you need to look into this problem that isn't already here, please let me know.

Buy a different mouse. It's just a cheap basic mouse. Its not a driver problem as all mice use the same driver unless its an expensive mouse with many options.

Yeah spend some money on a decent mouse. If you want precision, a cheap walmart mouse is not the way to go.

Doesn't necessarily mean going to another place of purchase.

Walmart has some great deals on mice. For ex. (as I pointed out elsewhere) the Logitech anywhere mouse is only about $35 there. It's $20 everywhere else I've seen.
