I have a budget of 2,000.

I'm going to be using a Cooler Master HAF X case.

Want advice on what MB to use, and GFX Cards. Has to be able to run games, like WoW, and graphics and video editing such as Lightroom, sony vegas, and photoshop.

Thanks.

With that budget there are a lot of options. Do you have any preferences like AMD vs Intel or Nvidia vs AMD/ATI?

With that amount of money for an upgrade, I would honestly wait until Bulldozer CPU comes out (September 9th), as far as, CPU's go. So, without suggesting a CPU at the moment, it would be hard to suggest a motherboard, unless of course, you have an idea of what manufacturer you want to go with (AMD / Intel).

Take into note: Intel: Ivy Bridge will use LGA 1155 (coming out in Q2 2012). That is the same socket that Sandy Bridge uses. Also, Sandy Bridge-E will be coming out later this year with socket 2011. So, if you went with a Sandy Bridge processor today, then you could use an Ivy Bridge processor when they come out in 2012.

Also, AMD: Bulldozer CPUs (AM3+) will come out in September of this year. So, you could get an AM3+ motherboard and a AM3 processor for the meantime.

Something to take into consideration :)

sept 9 isn't confirmed, but september pretty much is since the draw for the giveaway is early sept, and i think sb-e is still Q'1 2012 isn't it, also 28nm gfx cards are coming late late (yes, 2 lates) this year as they said shipping late 2011, or early next year as it takes time to actually produce the new gpu's and in high enough quantities to launch it, so that means hd 7k and gtx600's

What do you guys reccomend as far as a processor goes?

I don't want to wait my computer can barely handle games right now.

what country are you in and what do you need exactly, as in do you have the keyboard mouse monitor and such?

USA.

I have 2 monitors already.

I want the logitech g19

I want a razr mouse

It's alright if I go a little over.

I'm going to the computer store soon and map everything out.

So that graphics card should be enough?

As well as that processor, that can handle everything am I right?

And whats the difference between that and the i7s

Difference between the i5 and i7 is negligible. Slightly higher clockspeed plus hyperthreading. They are basically the same for all intents and purposes. It'll handle anything you throw at it.

TWO of those graphics cards will get you better performance than the fastest single card on the market.

the 2600 is way better than the other (2600k is better though, allows overclocking), just all around, and they are different socket cpus too if you didn't notice, the 1366 is done and the 1155 of the 2600 will be getting a newer cpu at the beginning of next year.
