want to change a bitmap to a jpq picture

I for got how to do it in paint with print screen, does any one know how to do this easy[change a bitmap picture to a jpq :confused:
 
Yes

However, Paint does an awful job at compression. The best solution to your problem would be to use Adobe Photoshop or some more advanced program. That way, the JPEG will be much better in quality.

save as option

my save as option in paint does not have a jpeg action. see photo of my drrop down list'

For photos that i've converted, it does a really good job, plus its free.
 
there actually is a great image converter prog out there called irfanview. it will change images to and from just about any format, allowing you to adjust the size as well.

seeing as how microsoft knows that there are people out there who havent or cant upgrade to the new OS every other year, most new software is still compatible under win98. even if it doesnt, i believe irfanview is free licensed software and it wont hurt to download it and see. its a really great prog if you just want to convert image files. and about 10x less complicated than photoshop.

I like to use Paint Shop Pro. Its easy enough and the quality is very good. I also like jasc Animation shop for doing transparencies.
