I've an Antec Sonata II case comes with the Smart Power 2.0 PSU...
Its a soild PSU for normal use.
However, I've found it causing too much heat because one of the fans doesn't run until certain temp is reached...
since the PSU is located right above the CPU, my CPU's temp record is 43+C @idel, 49C @60% load, and 61C @90% load. Meanwhile the MB is 41C to 46C
Just wondering does the PSU really affect that much?
My other computer only recording 25C @idel and 48C @80% and MB is 36C to 41C
If i ever goin' to get a new one, which one will be better in term of quality and temp?
i saw a server PSU which have decent spec. 39A @12v, however, it only has 50000hrs <25C. Do i ever need a server PSU for my desktop?
