Ok my budget is around $120 and im leaning towards the 4830 instead of the 9800GT because benchmarks and other people are saying that the 4830 is alittle better in framerates but destroys the 9800GT when it comes to overclocking.
Heres what i've found
ASUS HD 4830 GDDR3 512mb
$114
Apollo HD 4830 GDDR4 512mb
$122
The apollo verison is gddr4 but has a 200mhz slower mem clock than the asus but i could probably overclock the apollo manually to the same speed anyway right? but the thing that worries me is that i've never heard of apollo and newegg and google dont have any reviews for this card.
You think i should just go with the GDDR4?
Also, i only have a 300watt psu but my comp is not high end
Specs:
Lakeport Intel i945G Mobo
P4 3.0ghz HT 630 (people say this proc uses alot of power kinda worried)
2x1GB Kingston 533mhz
Liteon dvd player
Nothing is overclocked and i dont plan to, do you think that i could get away with using a 300 watt. i just dont have the budget to replace my psu just yet
