want to replace my USB port

Hey guys so its not a laptop or desktop, but i think it should still be considered some sort of computer. I broke the USB port on my car stereo and im trying to find a replacement. Ive been looking on google and they all have connections to some other fitting like USB to mini or something or other.

The inside of were the USB drive is, is just a mother board and a USB port sodered into the board. Im experienced in sodering, but not really in hard ware. I know there are different voltages or speeds for USB ports, so i need an idea as to what USB port would work for connecting my ipod, and where i could just buy the simple female port and soder it in myself.

I don't know what USB pin quene inside the port of ipod, but they do have difference. You can consule someone who repair phones or laptops, they would tell you, i think.
