Want to upgrad Processor in my Inspiron Desktop 560MT

The specs of my computer are as follows Intel Dual Core 3.00ghz. The socket is E5700. Socket size is LGA 775. The core is running at 65 watts. My ram is 4 GB FSB 1333mhz, I can upgrade to 8 gb. I have sata 2 500 gb hard drive. My question is can I upgrade to Intel Core 2 Quad at 2.83 GHZ q9505 running power is 95 watts. I have updated the bio to A06. The power supply is 300 watts. The motherbard is 018d1y which is made by Dell. Please tell me if this processor will work or will another one will work. If it does I plan to buy an Intel box processor off Newegg that comes with the heatsink that can take the extra heat. Any input would be helpful.

Maybe so. I didn't look for parts.

Looks like you could go with the Q9400.
